We are looking for a Director of Media to be responsible for reaching out to media outlets such as newspapers, magazines, etc. to help spread the awareness of our platform. The responsibilities will include researching different media outlets, sending emails, setting up phone calls, and sharing our purpose and mission in order to entice news outlets to share about the work we are doing. 

You are: 

  • A clear, effective communicator who can write powerful & persuasive emails and conduct professional phone calls 
  • A creative & independent thinker who can brainstorm ideas about how to entice news outlets to feature us
  • A team player
  • A storyteller 
  • A self – starter 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct research on which media outlets to reach out to; source press contact information
  • Reach out to a few outlets weekly by sending emails and setting up phone calls
  • Be comfortable sharing our story, mission, and vision in a convincing manner 
  • Manage all relationships with media sources; sending follow up emails after interviews, keeping in touch with the authors, and just generally keeping track of any articles being written/released so we are able to share on our social platforms

We are looking for a Director of Media Partnerships to be responsible for managing our social sites and helping to oversee the media team. This will include planning and designing posts for each week, engaging with our followers, and communicating with the rest of the media team to make sure we are covering all our bases. 

You are: 

  • Well versed in design technique and platforms (Canva, Adobe Photoshop / InDesign, etc.)  
  • A creative & independent thinker who can brainstorm ideas and themes and help create content for weekly posts in order to engage our followers 
  • A clear, effective communicator 
  • Organized –  someone who has a vision and can manage their time well to accomplish their goals 
  • A team leader – someone who works well with others

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Social Media Strategist to be responsible for assisting with our social media platforms which will include designing content and engaging with followers.

We are looking for a UX Researcher to be responsible for creating understanding and empathy around user needs, stated and unstated. You will use a variety of methods to develop a deep understanding of our users and their behaviors, motivations and needs.  The responsibilities of a UX Researcher include conducting primary research (quantitative and qualitative), analyzing results and communicating key insights to the broader team.

You are: 

  • A self-starter who’s also a team player, passionate about the organization’s goals
  • People person who loves asking questions and is also a great listener
  • Great communicator
  • Comfortable and have some experience with both qualitative (e.g. focus group, interview) and quantitative (e.g. survey) research and analysis

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct ethnographic interviews or focus groups with stakeholders including volunteers and nonprofits leaders
  • Create and conduct online surveys to aggregate feedback, which you will then turn into actionable insights
  • Collaborate with the engineering, marketing and growth strategy teams to inform strategy and ensure our platform is meeting our users needs and exceeding their expectations
